ROCKIN'-RILEY

I am so excited to have you listen to my new song,"The Old Town Today".
I started writing songs about six months ago and I am a 15 year old
freshman attending Longview Christian School. I have been playing and
singing most of my life. This song depicts the 1950's lifestyle of my
family years ago in Overton, Texas. I hope you enjoy it, and pass my
site along to others. My shows are fun with a lot of opportunities for
audience participation! I play piano, guitar, harmonica, drums, trumpet and
tuba, in my school band.
My first memory of putting notes and lyrics together was listening
to my Aunt Kathy play piano at Cave Springs Baptist Church every Sunday
morning at a very young age when my feet didn't touch the floor.
Later the melodious sounds of Mr. Paul Roberts, Jay Callender, and the
beautiful choir of the First United Methodist Church in Longview, Texas.
In addition to Mr. Paul, my music teacher for the last ten years,
Mr. Aaron Perkings has taught me so much.
I have been blessed to be surrounded by adults including Luke and Alisha Kimberley
at Artsview Theater and Joy Quirk with the Woofstock Festival, Janice Craine,
my youth director, my very loving family, and many classmates who have supported
my musical endeavors.

My granny says my career began when I sang, "I'm a Little Teapot", at
School for Little Children. I don't remember that, but I do remember my
first public performance at The Hamburger Store in Jefferson, TX. at the age of
7 years for the Opera House Theatre Players with Marcia Thomas director and
always a dedicated supporter of my career. I loved the audience, the applause
and couldn't wait to do it all again.
Since then, I have performed all genres of music around East Texas including
many times at Churches, retirement centers, restaurants and one very memorable
night was getting to play, "Great Balls of Fire" with Flashback
(a band from Shreveport, LA.) that was performing at the "1852 On Austin",
thanks to Mickey Morrison (owner) and Bill Handorf and Jennifer McMullen
(members of the band Flashback)
I love all types of music, but my personal favorites are:
Billy Joel, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Chuck Berry, Bach, Beethoven,
Old Time Gospel, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, John Fogerty, Buddy Holly, to name a few.
In my short life, I have been blessed to receive several awards and accolades for
my musical achievements. The ones that stand out the most are winning a "Jerry Lee Lewis"
look alike contest for the Million Dollar Quartet in Branson, at the age of 7 years.
Plus more recently, "The Rising Star Award" from the Opera House Theatre Players in 2021,
and the Lucille M. Terry Cultural Award in 2023.
I had the pleasure of meeting Sheila Clark when I was six at a musical event.
I wanted the mic to sing, "Bare Necessities" and didn't want to give it back.
Since that event, Sheila Clark has become Sheila Clark Fox, with her husband Alan Fox,
they have become good friends, (SheilaAndTheCaddoKats.com) along with Terry Salyer
(THE BEST PERCUSSIONIST IN THE SOUTH EAST AREA) have given me this opportunity and grateful
to have the chance to record in the State-Of-The-Art Digital Recording Studio-- Studio520
